At present, continuous annealing widely uses contact resistance heating, that is, the wire after work hardening is passed through a charged contact wheel, and the current is directly passed through the wire to form resistance heating to achieve the purpose of annealing.
There are currently two types of continuous annealing for copper rod drawing lines: one is the direct current annealing method; the other is the alternating current annealing method. The effects of these two annealing methods are good.
The manufacturing cost of DC annealing equipment is high, the electronic control structure is complicated, the annealing effect is better than AC annealing at low speed after starting, and the utilization rate of electric energy is high.
The equipment manufacturing cost of the AC annealing machine is lower, and the electronic control structure is simple and stable. The defect is that low-speed annealing is not good and the three phases are unbalanced.
In the double-head rod breakdown wire drawing machine, because the annealing current has to be designed to 8000A, the economic efficiency of using DC equipment is not good, so AC annealing is generally used. In the single-head rod breakdown wire drawing machine, we still recommend DC annealing.
